Sponsored Animals in Care
Pens

MEGS PEN - PHILLIP
Currently in our sponsor pen and in need of your help is PHILLIP. Phillip has now been in care for several months. He originally came in as a stray and after various tests it was discovered that he was hyperthyroid and would need tablets for the rest of his life. Then he started to have a lot of digestion problems and this was being caused by his thyroid problem so after much consultation with the vet it was decided that the best course of action was to remove the thyroid gland. This was done three weeks ago and Phillip has made an amazing recovery. Gone is his digestive problem. He has put on weight and no longer needs tablets. He now is ready for homing.

MATRIX - 8 month old Tabby Male
Matrix is a loving neutered male of just 8 months. He came into our care as a result of a car accident. Matrix had terrible facial injuries and had to have his jaw wired. After he came through the operation to repair his jaw it became apparent that he had no eye sight. All we could do was hope and pray that he would recover. But Matrix is a fighter. For several days he could not eat and was on a drip. Then we put him into foster care where he was given a convelescent diet. Matrix

ELSA - UPDATE
Elsa came to us in Sepember as the result of a very bad car accident. She had a large amount of trauma to her face and legs. It was decided to put a fixator on to her broken leg inorder to try to support the bones during healing. After several weeks in the fixator her leg was once more x-rayed to reveal that the bone was not healing very well. She then had further surgury and the bone was pinned. Several weeks later and she was still reluctant to put any weight on her leg and x-ray showed that it was still not healing. Sadly the decision was made to have the leg amputated. Several weeks on and Elsa is greatly improved and ready for homing. She is a lovelly young black cat who is very friendly and will make someone a very loving family cat. Could that be you.

Sponsorship Updates
Update on Benny our handsome pale ginger boy. Benny came into our care in June, the victim of a road traffic accident. His leg was badly shattered and he had to have a pin put in it. At the start of his treatment he would not pick up his foot properly and was dragging it. Benny has now been homed and is making good progress, the pin has been removed and he can now get around almost perfectly.

Gizmo spent some time healing in our sponsored pen. His ear is now very much better and happily he has a home. Thank you for all the support he has been given.
