Welcome!

Essex South & Southend Branch

WENDY - one of our hard working Inspectors
Wendy was involved in a serious accident outside Riverside Vets in Benfleet on Wednesday 10th June. Wendy works tirelessly in the Southend area to help our animals, and it was whilst on duty that she has been hurt. We all wish her a speedy and FULL recovery.

Get Well Soon Wendy.

WELCOME TO OUR SITE
We are the Essex South and Southend Branch of the RSPCA and we welcome you to our website. Like all the other 170 plus RSPCA branches we are separate from the National Headquarters and are a self funding charity.

The aims of the Branch are to promote the welfare of animals within the Essex South and Southend area. We receive no Government funding for the work that we do, and all that we achieve is purely through the help of our volunteers, our own fundraising activities, and our four charity shops.

The Branch Committee, currently consisting of a Branch Secretary, a Treasurer and a number of other Trustees, is responsible for the overall management of the Charity including full financial control.

The Branch Committee adheres to operational guidelines set out by the National Society but has full control over the day-to-day running of the Branch. We have strong ties with the RSPCA Inspectorate in our area and help in anyway we possibly can with the valuable work this group carries out.

By browsing the various pages of this website you can learn more about us and how to get involved with the branch. We also have pages showing cats/dogs for rehoming. Maybe you would like to sponsor one of our animals, if so then check out our sponsorship pages.

KITTENS
Kitten season has started and we currently have several litters of kittens available for homing. Various colours and ages.

100 Club .. Why not Join in 2009
The ‘100' Club works rather like a raffle, but each ticket sold is valid for a whole year. Tickets to the 100 are £10 each and two winning tickets are drawn every month. This means that each ticket has 24 chances of being drawn. The draw takes place at the monthly RSPCA committee meetings, and the winners cheque will be sent out the same week. All winners will be announced in the branch newsletter, and at our charity shops. Anyone can join the club and there is no limit to the number of tickets an individual can buy. 100 members and £420 given in prize money means £580 will be raised for the Essex South & Southend Branch, so the more people taking part, the more money we can raise!

For Information on how to join see our section on more, then download the 100 club Membership form. Good luck.

Thank you for supporting your local branch.
